As the beginning of what we hope will be a continuing series BCMS
is proud to provide our audiences with exposure to the great talent
that the WWU music department is nurturing by including guest WWU
student performers on our concerts.
Bellingham Chamber Music Society was formed in 2013. The Society's
goal is to present world-class chamber music, promote understanding
and appreciation of classical music and to enhance the beauty of Bellingham through music.
The Society offers diverse programming, to include the standard
repertoire of the great string and woodwind literature, works featuring piano
as well as more contemporary fare. Works by well-known such as
Beethoven, Debussy, Brahms, Piston, Arnold, Bach, Schubert, Mozart,
and Reicha as well as soon-to-be-well-known composers remain part of
We are very pleased to announce that the Internal Revenue Service has granted the Bellingham Chamber Music Society 501(c)(3) status
with retroactive effect to November 30, 2013. Contributions made to the Society after that date are tax deductible as allowed by law.

2015-2016 Concert Season
We are excited to
our 2015 – 2016 season! The concerts will range from the classic chamber music repertoire to the modern, with works
for string duos; woodwind, string and piano trios; percussion, string and wind trio; woodwind quintets; and piano quartets!
The first concert of the season is our innagural Premiere!
concert, featuring young and talented composers from the composition
studio of Roger Briggs. This concert will feature new works for
chamber strings, woodwinds and percussion and will be Sunday,
September 20 at 3pm, at Western Washington University. Come support
the next generation of great composers!
Tickets to the Premiere! concert are $10 general admission,
$5 students and are available for purchase online through Brown
Paper Tickets or at the door.
